Mr. Michael “Mike” Dittenber was hired by the Board in 2006 and started his career as the Director of the housing authority on January 2, 2007.
Although he has lived in Caldwell for only a few short years, he has been a part of the Caldwell community for the last 25 years and Canyon County for 50+ years.
Previously, Mike was the Special Needs Funding Officer for Idaho Housing and Finance Association for 6 years and a Law Enforcement Planner with the Boise Police Department for 7 years.
Mike currently chairs the Board of Trustees for West Valley Memorial Center and the Caldwell Friends of the Depot. He is a member of the Caldwell Rotary Club and served as its President in 2015/2016. He is also a Youth Exchange Officer with Rotary District 5400 and assists by helping international exchange students adjust to life in America.
Mike enjoys spending time with his wife and family and fills his spare time doing home improvements, working on his old truck, reloading ammunition, and helping others. Mike has great passion for his work and tries hard to make sure the Caldwell Housing Authority meets the needs of a growing community
