Major Responsibilities: (not all inclusive):

The incumbent in this position will be responsible for donor relations, proposal writing, grant writing, donor tracking and reporting, fundraising, external relations, public relations and outreach.

A high level of coordination with other management and special function Housing Authority staff is required to ensure effective and efficient office operations and excellent stewardship of resources.

Duties include researching individual giving opportunities related to special projects and community development efforts, donor cultivation, trust-building through excellent communication and donor management. Incumbent will solicit sponsorships for special events, develop and secure fundraising campaigns, assist with resource development, write letters of inquiry, grant proposals, and grant reports.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Must have experience with all facets of the job, including fundraising, public relations, proposal writing, process documentation, donor relations, and relationship building.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills, the ability to communicate effectively, persuasively and diplomatically with grantors and partnering agencies.

Must have skills working with and for a multicultural community and groups crossing all social economic demographics.

Must be tech savvy with experience using social media platforms and the internet as development tools.

Outstanding organizational, team building and leadership skills.

Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours on occasion and as necessary

Expectation:

The incumbent must be able to raise funds or in-kind contributions to the organization equal to, or greater than their annual salary with 18 months of employment and annually thereafter.

Special qualifications:

Caldwell Housing Authority is known for its highly motivated and resourceful staff. The qualified incumbent will shift gears with ease in addressing the many projects and events CHA engages in. Exercise patience with the Executive Director and other management staff who may send work-related emails and texts long after work hours, on weekends and early in the mornings.

Requirements:

• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
• Four (4) years post-secondary education or equivalent experience and education.
